Вірменський сомик (Glyptothorax) — рід сомів ряду Siluriformes родини Sisoridae. Це найбільш багатий на види і широко розповсюджений рід у родині, нові види відкриваються регулярно. Ці види поширені в басейні Чорного моря, на півночі Туреччини, на півдні та сході до стоку річки Янцзи в Китаї та на південь по всьому Індокитаю до Яви, Індонезія. Вони зустрічаються в Малій Азії (у стоках річок Тигр і Євфрат) і на південь до Південно-Східної Азії. Рід дуже різноманітний на індійському субконтиненті. Види Південно-Східної Азії, як правило, мають обмежене поширення.
Опис Цей рід легко відрізнити від інших Sisoridae за наявністю спайкового апарату на грудній клітці з борозенками, паралельними або косими до поздовжньої осі тіла, на відміну від борозенок, поперечних до поздовжньої осі тіла, або повної відсутності грудного спайкового апарату. Спинний і грудні плавці мають міцні шипи. Спинний плавник гладкий або зубчастий на передньому краї та гладкий або тонко зубчастий на задньому краї. Шипик грудного плавця зазубрений на передньому краї. Голова маленька і вдавлена, а морда конічна. Тіло подовжене, від помірно до сильно вдавленого. Шкіра гладка або горбиста. Очі маленькі, розташовані на спині. Губи товсті, м'ясисті, часто сосочкові.
Екологія Як і інші Sisoridae, ці риби реофільні, тобто вони живуть у швидкоплинних потоках, де вони пристосовані до життя за допомогою клейкого апарату на нижній стороні, щоб прикріплюватися до каменів і запобігати змиву.
