Amegilla — род пчёл из трибы Anthophorini семейства Apidae.
Распространение Старый Свет, от Палеарктики до Австралии.
Описание Гнездятся в почве. Крупные и средние по размеру пчёлы (1—2 см). Передние крылья с тремя почти одинаковыми по размеру радиомедиальными ячейками. Transactions of the Kansas Academy of Science.. У вида из Австралии наблюдаются смертельные бои самцов (трутней) за спаривание с будущей маткой. При этом мелкие самцы караулят самок на цветах, а крупные ожидают около входов в их земляные гнёзда. Как правило, большинство самок (90 %) оплодотворяются крупными самцами, сразу после их выхода наружу. Некоторые из видов этого рода пчёл являются важными опылителями сельскохозяйственных культурAlcock J. Некоторые виды имеют металлически блестящие голубые перевязи на брюшке, отчего получили название «Blue banded bees»C. D. Michener. (2000) The Bees of the World, Johns Hopkins University Press.. Отдельные представители рода имеют охранный статус. Например, вид Амегилла четырёхполосая () включён в Красную книгу Московской области.
