Трипоксилы, или тлееды (Trypoxylon) — один из крупнейших родов песочных ос из подсемейства Crabroninae (триба Trypoxylini). Более 600 видов.
Распространение Всесветное. В Европе более 20 видов. Для СССР указывалось 35 видов. В Австралии 7 видовTrypoxylon Австралии. В Палеарктике 54 вида, в России 28 видов. Описание Мелкого и среднего размера стройные осы с удлинённым брюшком, как правило чёрного цвета, реже с рыже-красными пятнами на брюшке. Переднее крыло с 1 радиомедиальной и 1 дискоидальной ячейками. Гнёзда в готовых полостях (стеблях, ходах ксилофагов, галлах, гнёздах одиночных ос или пчёл). Ловят пауков.
